Law enforcement sources tell us both Sheen and Mueller are fine with certain parts of the existing order — specifically, that Charlie not be in possession of a gun or other weapon, that he refrain from drinking or using drugs, and that he not harass or annoy Mueller any possible witnesses in the case.

We’re told they are now asking the judge to merely lift the portion of the order prohibiting them from having any contact or cohabiting with each other. They also agree that a “safety plan” be put in place for Mueller’s protection.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the prosecutor will neither support nor oppose the more limited motion by Mueller and Sheen.

But, we’ve learned, swift justice is not forthcoming. We’re told the hearing on the motion — set for Monday — has been postponed, and it’s likely the motion now will not be hearing until January 11.

I have many goals and plans for this year. Some I am sure we all share – get in shape, pay off bills, save money, etc. etc. The one   goal for this year is take up shooting as a hobby.  I would love to go to a shooting range.  I have gone back and forth trying to decide if I want to get a concealed permit.  Now I have decided to take some firearms courses and go from there.

There were two big questions entering the bowl season, but there obviously should have been more. Forget the worry of USC not being motivated enough to play in a December bowl. Forget the embarrassment of bowl selection, when UCLA becomes a postseason choice after posting just three conference wins. The bigger questions should have surrounded Oregon State, Oregon, California and Arizona, who could not seize the opportunity to place the Trojans in the shadows of themselves.

Oregon won the Pac 10, and Arizona was in the hunt. Each was given the opportunity to announce their arrivals and repel speculation that they simply reaped the benefits of USC falling off. They failed. Regardless of a Pac 10 crown and victories over the conference’s longtime power, with the bowl season nearing its end, the Trojans are still viewed as the league’s premiere program. It’s still “USC and the 9 dwarfs”.

Oregon allowed Ohio State and the Big 10 to finally break through and capture the Rose Bowl, something USC has defended and denied for an entire decade. Arizona, clad in their white uniforms of surrender, were embarrassed by Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl, which was traditionally a competitive contest between the Pac 10 and Big 12, until this paddling occurred. The losses by both Cal and Stanford were foreseeable, with each playing without key roster participants. But for Oregon State, with a 5-game bowl win streak now snapped, there was no excuse for the collapse against BYU.

Seventy percentage of the conference went bowling, and fifty percent failed. This underachievement will be remembered and carried throughout the offseason, and reflect in the earliest polls. Don’t cry foul or “east coast bias”. Respect was in our grasp, and the Pac 10 allowed it to slip through its fingers.

TMZ has learned Elton spent $12,000 at the Ralph Lauren store in BH — picking up linen pants in yellow, green, white and navy. We’re also told John bought several “bright colored knit shirts in a variety of colors.”

Several fans approached Elton while he was inside — and he happily took photos. But we’re told securityhad to usher the singer back to his car when the fans became a little overwhelming.

Elton and his linen emerged unscathed.

Arenas and backup point guard Javaris Crittenton got into it on Christmas Eve, says the NY Post, to the point where the two pulled out their guns in the team’s locker room. A source told the paper the argument involved some sort of gambling debt.

Arenas admitted on Christmas Day that he had been keeping unloaded guns in his locker, which he turned over to the team.

Arenas and Crittenton both play for the Washington Wizards, which used to be known as the Washington Bullets.

Modern Warfare 2’s iron grip on the UK sales chart continues. With a 17% rise in sales over last week, Infinity Ward’s latest remains the most sold game in the country. However, there is a challenger on the horizon — FIFA 10. After seeing an 18% rise in sales, the EA game was just 2,000 copies behind Modern Warfare 2’s numbers last week.

Looking at other recently released games, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed II made a little comeback from number five to three while increasing sales by 5%, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii saw a -9% drop but held on to its number 7 spot. Top 20 follows.
